The Director of Communications is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Minnesota Masonic Charities' (MMC) communications activities and projects. This position will lead, coordinate, create and communicate publications and media materials that relate to MMC's philanthropic activities, governance and image along with other public relations duties. |
|Duties:||Major job functions include: Creating internal and external communication materials and media; developing and implementing communication strategies that shape public opinion and support and publicize our advocacy and charitable programs; building collaborative relationships with the Board of Trustees and the Grand Lodge of MN and constituents to enhance/extend MMC's impact; working in conjunction with public relations professionals on standards and strategies for corporate communications; promoting special events and/or celebrations sponsored by MMC. Work also involves managing MMC websites, providing content update and quality improvements while seeking to build an expanding e-communication program; providing direction, content and oversight to MMC e-newletter and coordinating distribution; responsible for supervision, direction and content for organizational social media. |
|Qualifications:||Bachelor's Degree in Communications or other related degree preferred. Requires a minimum of 5 years previous experience in the communications, public relations and/or marketing field. Requires supervisory, budgetary, planning and administrative experience. The successful candidate will posess superior organizational skills, strong creative and presentation abilities, and the capacity to work independently or in teams. Requires proven experience coordinating and executing communications' campaigns.
