|Description:||Minnesota Masonic Home North Ridge has a rich history of providing quality care to seniors since 1966. We are a specialized senior health care community. In addition, we offer on-site child day care to our employees in a small day care setting. Services are provided to ages infant through pre-school. The children are provided a safe, nurturing, supportive, educational and stimulating environment throughout the day. Meals are served and a restful naptime is provided. In addition to an outdoor play area, the children are able to interact with our seniors in a variety of settings. |Duties:||The Child Day Care Teacher is responsible for monitoring the safety and proper handling of children, and assisting with the planning of the Child Day Care activities including: updating health records, scheduling parent conferences, and curriculum development. The Teacher will carry out planned daily activities including social, recreational and educational programs. These activities must meet the child's physical, mental, psychological, and intellectual development needs. In addition, the Teacher will plan intergenerational activities and implement Child Day Care rules and regulations. The Teacher will assist the children with activities of daily living and report and record child and parent information including daily events/concerns of parent or child/health issues, etc. |
|Qualifications:||The position requires:
Education and experience based on the Department of Human Services guidelines for Child Day Care Teacher. This may include a post-secondary certificate as a Child Development Assistant with one year experience; a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college with 18 credits in child development training coursework; Pre-Kindergarten license by the Department of Education; or Assistant Teacher experience and 24 college credits. Preference is given to applicants with at least two years professional experience with children.
Position is part time working in our Preschool Room from 10:30a-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. This is a total of 60 hours per pay period.|
